So this past Sunday the second round of the NW Cup (or Underworld Cup as has become it’s nickname) was held and turnout was great! Lots of big names racing in the Pro classes and that in turn brought out tons of insane PNW spectators/hecklers. The top of Dry Hill was a little gloomy but cleared up as you made your way down the track. In the pro mens class Stevie Smith came away with the win (again. He also smoked everyone last year.) with a time of 2:22 down the track. And in pro womens it was Jill Kintner that put down a 2:41 for the win. All in all everyone had a great time. Racers had an amazing track to ride and crazy fans all over the place, and the fans had some amazing riders to watch tear down the track all weekend. Groms were out in full force which is a great sign that our sport is growing and evolving. Kids are getting on this bandwagon younger and younger! And why not? You get to be outdoors, get exercise, play in dirt and go as fast as you can handle! On top of that this sports people and athletes are amazing as well! I can’t want for the next round of the NW Cup.
